How do I add a patient?

Add a patient in Almendra from Patients with the green icon, or while scheduling an appointment. Only first name, last name, sex, and country are required.

Where do I define the patient's goals?

Set patient goals in their medical history in Almendra: a general goal with the patient's motivation, or a precise goal with a target weight and dates.

If I add a patient, will they automatically receive an email?

When you add a patient, Almendra can automatically email them their account access and a welcome message. Turn both on or off in the Mailing settings.

How do I edit a patient's information?

Edit a patient's information in Almendra from their profile or during an ongoing appointment, and when to use each one to keep an accurate history.

What happens if you exceed the number of active patients in the Free plan?

Almendra's Free plan covers 3 active patients a month. When you activate a fourth, you have 1 day to upgrade to Pro before your account is restricted.

Where can I see the patient's past meal plans?

A patient's past, current and upcoming meal plans are at the bottom of their profile in Almendra. Plans that have ended can only be viewed as a PDF.

What happens if a patient wants to change their email address?

Change a patient's email in the Email field of their Almendra profile and choose whether to send a confirmation so they can log in with the new address.

I can't find a patient field I want to edit. What can I do?

If a patient detail has no field of its own, note it under Comments and others on their Almendra profile or request a new field at soporte@almendra.io.

Where to record the METs for the patient's activity level?

Calculate a patient's activity level with METs via Calculate PAL under Lifestyle, based on their 24-hour activities instead of the Harris-Benedict factor.

Patient referrals

With patient referrals in Almendra, each patient gets a code and link to invite others, and you set the discount for the new patient and the referrer.

What is an active patient?

An active patient in Almendra is anyone with an appointment or meal plan in your current billing period. See who counts and why in the Patient Report.

How can the patient log into their Almendra account?

Patients log in at pacientes.almendra.io with their email and password. If they have no account yet, send the access email at signup or from their profile.
